According to the Miami Herald , archaeologists recently found a gemstone and dagger at an ancient agricultural settlement in Germany. The artifacts were discovered near Anreppen, the site of a 1,600-year-old Roman military camp. The gemstone was engraved with the image of the Roman god Mercury, who is holding a purse in one hand and a staff in the other.
